I can't wait to see them embark on the perilous trip to the Movie Forum.

So which thread will win once it gets there. The established thread, staid, reliable, established...or the newcomer, the upstart, the arriviste?

This will either bomb hard or be an unexpected hit that is an award contender.

This is the first time in a very very long time that I heard my wife say she wanted to watch a movie when watching the trailer.

I feel like this is a terrible name to use for the film with our current politics.

No premium screens for this even though the trailer says there is.
I plan to see it next Friday. I like both Farrell and Robbie so we'll see if this works.

Alright I saw it today.
While Farrell and Robbie looked great, had some chemistry and there are some nice visuals, overall I didn't think it really worked as a movie as a whole.
It felt like this was a small Broadway production that was stretched out to make a movie. The storytelling is just weird like an episode of Fantasy Island.
And the whole romance angle felt extremely rushed. The whole movie basically takes place over a couple of days. Farrell and Robbie are two strangers who meet at a wedding, later have a chance encounter and then end up on road trip and start experiencing these fantasy sequences re-living key moments in their lives with no logical explanation. I didn't even recognize Kevin Kline at all as the sort of Mr. Rourke. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is his colleague in this. Their whole magical car rental agency really makes no sense.
I'm sure the dude here who sees everything on A-List may also drop in and complain as well.
C- from me. Very close to a D+
I predict this will be a flop. Right now it had a whopping 38% on RT

Since the vast majority of this forum probably won't see it in the theater anyway, I'm going to also say don't waste your hard earned $25 to buy this on PVOD.

Regarding the movie, there is a really emotionally touching movie somewhere in that script, I mean meeting your long dead mother again, or getting to talk to the child version of yourself to give wisdom during your first heartbreak, should have been slam dunks to getting the audience to cry their eyes out, but as you mention, it's just okay. I mean I don't regret seeing it, but every scene was a lost opportunity.

Well my usual AMC had this on Dolby and I caught the last one this evening. I'm a romantic at heart and I really enjoy watching relationship conversations and courtship and dating (When Harry Met Sally, Eternal Sunshine, 500 Days of Summer, the Before trilogy, etc) so this one really just hit for me. It also helps that you have two stunningly attractive people in Margo and Colin and they had really great chemistry. Going into this I was really curious why this would be on Dolby but I understand now that it was for the colors. They really popped! It did seem like it was once a longer movie that would have given more depth into how these two people fall in love with each other but yeah the complaint of how it was rushed is valid. I can imagine them going into each other's lives was just a visual metaphor for when you are getting to know someone and you have those conversations of your past. I didn't have a problem with it or with really anything about this world. It's just a fantasy romance but it had me way more engaged than the other movie I watched this week, "HIM."
