Premiered today on Netflix. If you liked "Chef" and looking for a feel good film, I highly recommend this. Wonderful story. I think this could be Vince Vaughn's best performance. The entire cast were great.

Glad to see Vince do more of a dramatic role though it is a comedy slash drama.

It was not that bad and glad they did not go crazy on sex or raunchy humor like they when they get older actors doing comedy lately.

The owner of the real restaurant showed up in the scenes where they had the friends and families eating at the restaurant.

Yes, and I hate that. Like Chloris Leachman on her last few projects. Even Betty White on "Hot in Cleveland" to some degree. It's like they get these older legends and have them talk mostly about sex because they think that's funny. And it just comes across lazy, sad, and kind of pathetic. The writing, not the acting. Also, in addition to the real restaurant owner in the dinner scene at the end, all the real Nonnas appear in the end credits.

Agree and it seems cheap when they do that.

It seems like that when Jane Fonda does Comedy movies.

They had the cast on the Kelly Clarkson show which is worth a watch.

Yes, cheap! That was the word I was trying to think of. The only Jane Fonda movie I've seen in the last few years was "Moving On". And it was a nice comedy about two senior friends reconnecting. Also starring Lily Tomlin. Thankfully the writers didn't go for old lady raunch. I highly recommend that if you haven't seen it. Jane also did those "Book Club" films and "80 for Brady". I had no interest in seeing those. I assume she played a sex craved woman. I did read she's done doing movies like that.
