The Unholy Trinity (2025, D: Gray) -- S: Pierce Brosnan, Samuel L. Jackson

The Unholy Trinity promises to deliver an exciting blend of action, suspense, and western grit with an all-star ensemble ready to captivate audiences this summer. A tale of revenge, dark secrets, and buried treasures, the film is set against the turbulent backdrop of 1870s Montana. It picks up in the moments before the execution of Isaac Broadway, as he gives his estranged son, Henry, an impossible task: Murder the man who framed him for a crime he didn’t commit. Intent on fulfilling his promise, Henry travels to the remote town of Trinity, where an unexpected turn of events traps him in town and leaves him caught between Gabriel Dove, the town’s upstanding new sheriff, and a mysterious figure named St Christopher.
I saw the trailer for this yesterday when I went to see The Surfer, the new Nic Cage movie.
Comes out June 13. Looks like an Indie movie. The director is an Indie director.

I'm a sucker for Westerns, so I'll check it out. Always nice to see Brosnan in these type of flicks. Still love the heck outta Seraphim Falls.

Whenever I see posters for DTV fare like this, with ‘name’ actors prominently featured on the poster alongside some equally top-billed nobody, I usually scan the credits to see if the latter’s name is also among the producers. That’s often the case but not here, although it appears a couple of Brandon Lessard’s relatives pitched in according to the poster. He also appeared in the director’s previous three movies in what appear to be small supporting roles, so I guess this is an attempt to move him up the ladder. The director is also one of the hundred-plus producers on RUST. I noticed a press-release-disguised-as-Variety-article in which he says he plans to make a string of westerns at this level, including a vampire western and a werewolf western, so he seems to be a fan of the genre. According to IMDb, Brosnan’s sons are also in this.
