Deep Cover is directed by Tom Kingsley, written by Colin Trevorrow, Derek Connolly, Ben Ashenden and Alexander Owen and stars Bryce Dallas Howard, Orlando Bloom, Nick Mohammed, Paddy Considine, Sonoya Mizuno, Ian McShane, and Sean Bean.
In the film, an aspiring comedian is currently teaching improv classes and beginning to question if she’s missed her chance at success when an undercover policeman offers her the role of a lifetime. Kat (Howard), with two of her improv students – Marlon (Bloom) and Hugh (Mohammed), must infiltrate London’s gangland by impersonating dangerous criminals. The trio quickly find themselves in over their heads.

No, this is not a remake of the 1992 Laurence Fishburne movie.
It's a UK set crime, action comedy.

I don’t have a ton of hope for this but if it’s on Prime I’ll watch it.

Caught this on the plane and I loved it! Has a Game Night vibe and it all worked for me. I've been an improviser, too, and there was plenty of improv insider speak to smile at in this one.
I still love the Bill Duke flick best. 😉
