Whether it be on screen persona or off screen antics. Who do you just not like and what’s the reasoning?

I’ve come to think Sterling K. Brown is a pompous ass both on and off screen.

Who do you think just has that hate or punchable face?

On screen persona or off screen bikini? What in Gods name does that even mean?

What in the world gives you the impression that Brown is not a good person off-screen? Does he do too good a job acting, which is blurring the line for you?

Brown was on Seth Meyers this week. I did not watch the interview. Maybe he said something there that set OB off.

It's helped by the fact that none of his movies are good, but I really dislike Dwayne Johnson's whole persona. Feels like such an act, so fake. I never believe his character and he bugs me in interviews as well.
Most of the same could be said of Ryan Reynolds as well, but he did star in Definitely Maybe, a romcom I unabashedly and somewhat irrationally love. So that's bought him 20 years of goodwill with me.

My views on Reynolds have improved a bit after watching Wrexham. His schtick is old but he seems like a genuine person.

When I try to think of an answer my mind goes to either people like Chase who are just assholes with political views I don't agree with, or folks whose roles have been acted so well, I think I don't like them. Paul Dano comes to mind. He annoys me ever since There Will Be Blood, but it has nothing to do with the person.

^ Curious if you've seen The Fablemans. Dano was incredible in that and I think he was robbed of an Oscar nomination in that role.

Seconding Decker on both Dano and the Rock. Dano was excellent in the Fablemans.
As for the Rock his never lose a fight in a movie clause really rubbed me the wrong way. Your fucking ego is so big, you can’t separate real life from the movie?

I saw him on The Kelly Clarkson Show at 3am this morning and he came off like an entitled jerk. don't like him in his roles (American Fiction, This is Us) either.

According to reports, the Rock does as well. Then again how accurate are any of these reports to begin with.

Well Vin "had" to win every fight they had/have in the F&F movies because of it. I guess the Rock's clause didn't pull as much weight in those films, if true.

Josh Charles makes me irrationally angry. Even when he's playing a good guy I assume his character is secretly a schmuck.

I had heard they both have that clause which is why their fights against each other always end in a draw.


I’ll add Mia Goth. Not because she’s a bad actor or a bad person (I have no idea if she is or not) but there’s something about her that creeps me the fuck out. She could star on a light-hearted romcom and I’d still get the heebie jeebies from her.

You’re right on Goth. Something makes my skin crawl. I think it came out last year about kicking some extra in the head on Maxxxine.

I can’t stand the all-encompassing persona both on and off screen of Dwayne Johnson either. I’m just glad Southland Tales exists as I feel like it’s the only performance of his that was tolerable (but still fucking weird, naturally), but that was so long ago at this point, and more of a credit to Richard Kelly. Bless him for also convincing Johnson to be credited under his real name instead of his wrestling moniker. I know that movie is considered a complete failure, but over time, I’ve grown to appreciate it as much as, if not more than, Donnie Darko.

Doing an interview in the middle of the night, he might have been out of sorts. They should really do these interviews during regular daytime hours or in the evening.

Yeah, I hit that point when she was on Conan when they were at SD Comic Con in Hero/Villain costumes. And I hate to say this, because I try to not be this way about women, but her face annoys me. Not that she's ugly, just something urks me when I see her.
