If they had a local stop, we'd go, but we won't travel for this. Good lineup, hope it goes well for them all.

Once Upon A Time is a fantastic album from start to finish, every song is strong. I was able to pick up a sealed original vinyl pressing of it and Live In The City Of Light at one of our local record shops here last year. Would love to see them play Commonwealth Stadium this summer but, alas, it does not look like they'll be touring western Canada unfortunately ...

Spoiler:
Cool reaction video to Alive & Kicking ...

Not trying to be a dick but that tour poster made me wonder if they would be playing to a crowd even half the size that is in the picture and any of those venues. Maybe in Europe, but here I wonder...

Yeah, likely not with Soft Cell and Modern English opening for them but with a stronger supporting lineup one could always (New Gold) dream, no?

Stopping at Pine Knob in Clarkston, MI. Awesome summer venue. I think I'll give this a go.

Bummer is I'll be in Pasadena for Cruel World on 5.17 when they play in Seattle. Ironically, saw them at Cruel World, along with Soft Cell, last year. Damn, they were good and wanted to see a full concert.

That poster clearly looks like a 30,000-40,000 people capacity venue. And probably from the 80's. But you're correct, they couldn't fill that in America these days. Sadly, and with no excuse, I saw Simple Minds for the the first time a few years ago at the 9:30 Club here in D.C. (1200 capacity). That venue felt way too small for this band and their arena sound. So I'm glad they're taking a chance and trying to play to a bigger audience. I think more people will come to this show during the Summer, especially if it's outdoors. Mainly for nostalgia. And these guys deserve a big audience. They are fantastic live.

And you will get to see 'Til Tuesday. Who I would give anything to see. I've been to several Aimee Mann concerts, but have always wanted to a reunion of 'Til Tuesday. Their second and third albums are among my all-time favorites. I'm hoping this gig will entice her to do more shows across the U.S.

I saw them a few years back and it was OK, but I wouldn't check them out again, especially at an amphitheater. I am not really a fan of the current band and I haven't cared much for their new material in many years.

Now if they ever do that 5x5 thing again, I am there.

You've never seen the Go-Go's!? I was talking to a friend earlier today about the best double and triple bills I've ever seen, and they came up. And I realized I've seen them over 15 times in concert. The first time was when they opened for the Police in 1982. And one of the best triple bills was in 2000 when they played with the B-52's and the Psychedelic Furs. I've seen the B-52's the most of any band. Over 20 times. Followed by Depeche Mode, 19. Sadly I've never seen Nick Cave.
