Saw this last night. I thought it was fun. It was funny and just slightly gory with some bland kills. I can see how most people will probably dislike the characters but I thought they were funny in how they interacted with each other. It's a decent first movie for the duo. There's definitely way worse.

I’ve heard it’s more of a coming of age comedy with some slasher elements as a backdrop. I thought it was going to be more of a straight up throwback slasher.

ehhh, I wouldn't call it coming-of-age. It's more of a mid-twenties dude who doesn't know what he wants to do trying to fit in with late teens all while getting killed. But yeah, I thought it was going to be a slasher with comedic elements. It's not very slashy.

A few funny parts but i found it boring and too dark (lighting-wise) in the middle for too long.

This is on hulu. I saw the trailer a few times, but it wasn't playing near me when it came to theaters last spring.
I thought it was fun for a while, but it's never quite good.
