Send Help (2026, D: Raimi) S: McAdams, O'Brien
EXCLUSIVE: Dylan O’Brien is set to star opposite Rachel McAdams in Send Help, the horror thriller from 20th Century Studios that Sam Raimi is producing and directing.
The film is a survival horror thriller about two colleagues who become stranded on a deserted island, the only survivors of a plane crash. On the island, they must overcome past grievances and work together to survive, but ultimately, it’s a battle of wills and wits to make it out alive.
Send Help is based on an original script by Baywatch scribes Damian Shannon and Mark Swift. Zainab Azizi will also produce under the Raimi Productions banner, and the film is expected to nab a theatrical release.

I was excited for a new Sam Raining movie until the part that said it "is based on an original script by Baywatch scribes Damian Shannon and Mark Swift". I hated that piece of crap so very much.

Is McAdams meant to be the protagonist, or will she start as that and then as the movie progresses the roles reverse? Looks like we're getting a horror movie told from the POV of the "killer" and we get to see what pushed them to the tipping point. Of course there's also the possibility that it will turn out she's always been mentally disturbed and the right circumstances for her madness to come to light emerged.

Early Access screenings are Saturday as mentioned. This has sold out in many LA theaters.
Unfortunately my closest AMC doesn’t have the early screening. It’s playing at a Regal and Harkins. Really tempted to see it early, but I’ll have to pay out of pocket.

Just got out. Fucking awesome. Rachel McAdams was incredible. Also some great banter between her and O'Brien. Dark, very funny and gory. I had a great time.

It does!
This was fantastic! A real crowd pleaser that I hope does well. The back and forth between McAdams and O'Brien was great. Those signature Raimi moves, chef's kiss. Even though they tried to make McAdams super frumpy,

Pretty much my sentiments. Caught this yesterday afternoon and it was really fun. It is 100% a Sam Raimi flick, so if you're familiar with his tropes and like seeing that kind of horror, then this won't let you down. McAdams was remarkable and once she got on the island her frumpiness kind of disappeared and she goes with a more natural look and is still pretty. I forgot to look for the Evil Dead car in the most obvious spot, so I missed it.
I noticed in the trailers there was a shot of as snake but none appeared in this movie, so curious if it was just a shot or maybe a deleted scene. The only thing I didn't really care for was

Great gory over the top fun, and in my world I’d give Rachel McAdams all the Oscars now. Been too long since his last proper comic horror film Drag Me To Hell in 2009!
