Ghost of Tsushima: Legends Anime Series Officially Announced, Premieres in 2027
Crunchyroll, Aniplex, Sony Music and PlayStation Productions will collaborate on the series
Crunchyroll announced during Sony Group Corporation’s CES 2025 press conference today that an anime series based on Sucker Punch Productions’ Ghost of Tsushima video game and its Ghost of Tsushima: Legends multiplayer experience is officially in production. The anime will exclusively premiere on Crunchyroll in 2027.
Takanobu Mizuno (Star Wars: Visions "The Duel") will direct the series at Kamikaze Douga, with Gen Urobuchi writing the story composition. The anime will be produced in collaboration with Aniplex, with Sony Music serving as music and soundtrack partner. Additional staff and cast were not announced at the time of the panel.
