I'll cosign Frozen Empire based solely on how disappointed I was with the movie. I'm a Ghostbusters fan as much as any other '80s kid, but this most recent entry really did nothing for me.

I have become a ninja when it comes to being able to avoid terrible films. I only saw a few from in 2024 and I dug them all.

But did you really think Uglies would be even halfway decent? I spent most of the trailer thinking it was a parody production.

My wife loves self-admitted garbage YA stuff, so we just threw it on sight-unseen. I didn't really expect any of my listed movies to be "good", in all honesty. Continental Split I sought out in fact because I like so-bad-it's-good schlock.

I'd never heard of it so looked it up based on your list and was surprised to recognize one of the actors! He played the new husband/sheriff on the television version of the Dead Zone.

I watched Lisa Frankenstein for the horror challenge and can't really object to its inclusion here.

I enjoyed Argylle.

I can't really mount a defense of that movie, since I feel it was aimed at young women and not me, but I thought it was completely fine. In line with what I'd expect from something for young Millennials/old Gen Z female horror fans

I heard they were terrible. Part 1 was the best reviewed on RT, but parts 2 and 3 were critically trashed by reviewers and viewers.

I like the storyline from the live action CW shows when they did it a few years ago.

I bought the 1st 2 in the trilogy for $10 each on digital before I saw any reviews. So I shouldn't bother paying for Part 3 then? All 3 movies are actually on Max.

Gladiator 2 is probably the worst movie I saw in 2024.

I tend to avoid bad movies fairly well but every once in a while curiosity kills the cat and I can’t help myself but to watch some. A few of the notable worst are:

Road House - Not “bad” per se, just stupid silliness and not particularly entertaining.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire - Pretty fucking bad. A Godzilla movie with Godzilla in basically a glorified cameo.

Trap - definitely the worst script of the year. Almost nothing in this movie made sense. Adding insult to injury, it was ultimately little more than a vanity project for Shyamalan’s daughter.


While not necessarily the “worst” my most disappointing of the year goes to:

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare - A great cast, a solid premise, and a competent director all came together to make a forgettably mediocre movie.
