Favorite "gun-fu" movies?
you know the movies where it's all guns all the time. or mostly all the time. Certainly, the John Wick movies are perfect examples, but I watched Equilibrium last night and damn if the gun action wasn't far superior than anything we've seen since. I also like Woo's The Killer (1989), of course, as it's one of my favs of all time.
What are some other movies that mostly just use guns that you like?

Well if you want to call "gun-fu" a genre it starts with John Woo and Hard Boiled. I'd say my favorites are the John Wick movies and Face/Off

Robocop would be at (or near) the top of the list for me.

While I appreciate Woo's older films, Face/Off was the peak for me. While The Matrix was great, the gunplay wasn't central.
I've posted it plenty. But I miss the that 10 year period of great action films. Face/Off and Con Air came out a few weeks apart. I feel that was the tail end of a great genre.
Subgenres come and go. I'd imagine the same thing was felt with westerns, WWII movies, etc.
