We are campaigning for (Not) President and (Not) Vice President of DVD Talk - virtual door knocking
Fellow DVD Talkers,
We need your help! I know many of you love DVD Talk as much as I do, and many of you have been longstanding members of this valued community. It has been an amazing 25 years here, thanks to you.
This forum is an amazing melting pot of interests, personalities, and senses of humor. It is this admirable diversity that make this place great. From the magical folks in the Music and Movie subforums, to the committed members who relentlessly write for the DVD Reviews and Recommendations subforum, to the badasses in Book Talk, to the cultural contributions of the International DVD Talk citizens. We have admiration for the bargain hunters in the whole cart of Shopping subforums (we will never forget the early days of 800.com and a bag of microwave popcorn with every order). Of course we have the ostensible Otters from the Other Forum (colloquially known and loved as the Otter Farm), and the talented tech heads in Tech Talk. Unfortunately I don't have the time or space to recognize all of you for your valuable contributions to this community, but know that you are loved and appreciated!
Now, though, now we need your help. We need your help to save this beautiful place where we congregate, cohabitate, and cogitate. One of our esteemed moderators, fine folks who donate their valuable personal time, declared an election for (Not) President and (Not) Vice-President of DVD Talk. This was done in a place that I know many of you intentionally avoid, the Religion, Politics, and World Events forum. Though I enjoy that subforum, I cannot blame you for not wanting to venture over there.
For that reason, I am here to ask for your help and to help you with providing that help. I am not asking you to venture through that land, and I especially do not want you do have to go there alone. I am asking you to vote for the Abob Teff and cultshock ticket in this election. To help you out, I am giving you a virtual ride to the polls. You can avoid the cesspool of the Politics forum by jumping directly to the voting polls here:
