Will the JP disc release have subtitles? We need to get to the bottom of the important questions.

I hope they double the budget for him at the very least...

North America disc release will likely go through GKIDS in the future. Toho acquired GKIDS last month and they will become subsidiary of Toho International (press release). It remains to be seen if they will continue to use Shout! Studios as distributor.

Excited at this news, as the last Godzilla film is actually one of only a small number of films that I actually took the time to watch in theaters (and immediately encouraged family and friends to see Godzilla in theaters as soon as they could).

I hope it's not a direct sequel, but rather another allegorical film that utilizes Gojira as a metaphor. That's what made the last film so great.

Isn't -0.0 simply 0? Whatever. I loved the last movie, I'm sure this'll be great too, and I'm sure the title will make sense on the day.

I’m not sure big white splashes spelling ‘Goo’ really do it for me.

I'd pay to see her in a Godzilla movie--it would be the first Meryl Streep film I'd actually want to see in a long time. (I think the last film of hers I saw in a theater was the 2019 remake of LITTLE WOMEN.)

Well, I guess that's better than Godzilla 6-7.
Looking forward to the G-00dzilla posters!

Also, I’m not much more keen on ‘Minus Zero’ than I was on ‘Goo’. Can there even be a ‘minus zero’ when you’re already at zero?
I’m thinking this one may still have English title issues.

Godzilla Minus Zero Confirmed for North American Theatrical Release on November 6
TOHO and GKIDS have officially locked in theatrical dates for Godzilla Minus Zero. The new film will open in Japan on November 3, 2026, with a wide North American release following just days later on November 6, marking a rare near-simultaneous rollout for a Japan-produced Godzilla feature.

The November 3 release date carries clear historical weight. It is the same day the original Godzilla debuted in Japanese theaters in 1954, a date now celebrated annually as Godzilla Day. The choice also echoes Godzilla Minus One, which opened on November 3, 2023 in Japan, and went on to become the highest-grossing Japan-produced Godzilla film worldwide, earning more than $116 million and winning the Academy Award® for Best Visual Effects.
Godzilla Minus Zero once again brings back Oscar®-winning filmmaker Takashi Yamazaki, who returns as director, screenwriter, and VFX supervisor. Plot details remain tightly guarded, but production is currently underway at Toho Studios, with ROBOT producing and visual effects handled by SHIROGUMI Inc. The project was first announced in November 2024, with its title revealed a year later during Godzilla Fest 2025.
For North America, distribution for Godzilla Minus Zero marks GKIDS’ second stewardship of a Godzilla franchise film from TOHO for North American release, following TOHO’s acquisition of GKIDS in 2024 and after leading the 4K remaster and theatrical re-release of Shin Godzilla for U.S. audiences in 2025. This marks the first time in the history of the Japan-produced Godzilla series that a film will arrive in Japan and North America within the same week. A new visual to celebrate the announcement of the Japanese and North American release dates has also been revealed.
Additional international release dates are expected to be announced at a later time. For now, Godzilla Minus Zero is firmly positioned as the centerpiece of Godzilla Day 2026.

Kind of curious if the "minus zero" might be a hint at Monster Zero. Unlikely, as he doesn't really fit into this grounded timeline, but then again one can only be so grounded in a Godzilla story.

OK, is there anything hiding in the clouds in the poster? Or is it just clouds?
And don't say "A sailboat."
