Sad news. Good comedic actress. I know she had a lot of health issues in recent years.

Sad indeed. She was so, so good. Especially in Tootsie.

Recently watched a compilation of all her appearances on Letterman. She was great.

Close Encounters, Mr. Mom, Oh God! and Phoebe's Mom (Friends)

Like Shelley Duvall, Garr had a unique screen presence, and was terrific every time I saw her. Last movie I saw her in was Ghost World.

Such a wonderful comedic actress who was always one of my favorites. Great dancer back in the day, featured in several Elvis movies:

Sad to see this, although I kind of knew she wasn't well. Young Frankenstein possibly the funniest movie ever.

Sad news. I know she’s been dealing with health issues for a long time now so it’s not entirely surprising.

I had a huge crush on her in the 80s and into the 90s. Such a perfect “girl next door” look.

The last thing I really remember seeing her in was Dumb and Dumber… 30 years ago.

May watch the TAMI Show tonight in her honor. She was one of the background dancers, and her entire attitude towards life could be seen in her enthusiasm.

I know she had some health issues lately. Very sad to hear. I always found her attractive.

Well, she was great.

I think she was the last living cast member of Young Frankenstein. Mel Brooks outlived them all.

Enjoyed seeing her in anything. A super funny, lovely, charming lady. Her appearances on Late Night were always appointment TV.

It's kind of an obscure hard to find movie now. Not on a major streaming service. But, I remember when she played the hot single Mom in Firstborn. Peter Weller was the scumbag abusive boyfriend.

She had Beauty, Talent, and Wit. Rare to have all three of those.

This one hurts. So many great films. Especially my all-time favorite, “Close Encounters”.

I think Gene Hackman is still alive.

I never really 'got' Garr's appeal as a leading lady until I caught Coppola's One from the Heart. She's really good in that quasi-musical, one of the only things that works in it.

Definitely unfortunate, as I always liked her. Funnily enough, some co-workers and I were quoting from Mr. Mom only yesterday.

I forgot him. No cigar for me.

Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind and she was hot back when she was young.

She's said to be one of the background dancers seen all throughout The Tami Show. I've got to give that a look this weekend.
