RIP John Ashton -- dead at 76

Sad news. I did think he looked thin and frail in the new Beverly Hills Cop movie even though that was filmed well over a year ago.

Sad news. He was an 80s staple. I loved him in Beverly Hills Cop and Midnight Run.

He's fantastic in Midnight Run. Originally, Marvin was going to be killed when he showed the mob the photos, but the filmmakers recognized the character was so good, it was worth keeping him around so he could take part in the finale, which is so much more satisfying in that he gets to witness Jack outfoxing him once again.

I thought he was in his mid 80s.

Hard to believe he was only 36 in BHC.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing.

Never gave his age much thought, but if you asked me how old he was in BHC, I would have said his fifties.

Sucks he passed away. Like others have said, I'm glad he was in the last BHC movie.
