The film relives the many stunning moments of Luther’s musical career, while exploring his personal life, health struggles, and a lifelong battle to earn the respect his music deserved. Opens in theaters in select cities beginning November 1. Nationwide preview screenings October 30. Presented by Giant Pictures and CNN Films.

Apparently this came out last weekend and is in select theaters. It's playing at my local AMC and Regal. Not really in the mood today, but I think I might try to catch it tomorrow.
I hope it's as good as the Whitney documentary from 2018.
Although Luther never actually "Came out" I'm curious if the movie will touch on his homosexuality and how he covered it up. The Whitney documentary touched a lot on Whitney's bi-sexuality and how they covered it up to protect her career. She was in a relationship with Robin Crawford before she made it big.

I'll wait until it hits Max. Since there was big breaking news in New Orleans today, it's highly probable it gets interrupted or pre-empted.

It wasn't interrupted, except for commercials. But at least it wasn't edited down. It was complete at 96 minutes total. And it was really good! The only thing they left out was his love for Patti LaBelle and how he (as a teenager) had chased her down after one of her shows and asked if he could run her fan club!

Just learned it will finally be on Max February 8th.
I actually reserved a ticket to see it at AMC tonight.
