Looks like Evolver (1995) on steroids

Will definitely check this out.

I’ll wait to watch this at home. I need to keep the mute button handy whenever Dennison is onscreen.

I’m willing to give most A24 movies a chance. Sounds likes a fun time.

I think the A24 luster has a limited shelf life.

So, unlike Werewolves, this was FUN!! A huge nostalgic blast that had me and the audience laughing a lot. Think of it like Superbad: Computer Apocalypse. You can tell the cast had a blast making this.

Got a free ticket for signing up for 1 month trial for the AAA24 club. Seeing an early evening show tonight.

I thought it was mostly fun. Late 90s set sci-fi stoner comedy.

Yeah it's overall story is kind of dumb and completely implausible. Fred Durst cameo was stupid. But there were a lot of fun and funny moments. Definitely has some nostalgia value. The whole takeover by the computers had me chuckling here and there.

Some of you will probably think it's stupid and roll your eyes, but you know I got my enjoyment out of it for it's almost 90 minutes.

I'd give it a B-

I found it too be a little too dumb and disjointed. There were some funny parts but I thought the flow kind of sucked. I also had high hopes for this since it's A24 and I was way into the Y2K bug back in the late 90s. I'd grade more in the C- range.

Looks like Y2K is DOA

For a free ticket it wasn’t a complete waste of time in my opinion. But I can see how audiences would think it sucks.

I'm trying to use my free A24 ticket voucher, and I get an error message on the AMC page that says the voucher is good for Friday or Saturday only, when the terms are pretty clear on the A24 page that it's good for the entire weekend. Pretty annoying.

Releasing on VHS via the A24 website. Seems like a new gimmicky thing with some movies but still cool.

Like I asked in the HD thread, isn't the VHS being mono overboard in the wrong way? It's set in the late '90s, stereo VHS tapes were commonplace.

This will be on PVOD Christmas Eve.. But, honestly it's not worth $20-25 PVOD prices IMO.

Who typically gets A24 streaming rights? Peacock, Hulu, Prime?

I changed my mind after some thought.

It's not a steaming pile of crap. but it's kind of dumb and I would never re-watch it.

VHS will be out on Jan 7th, for anyone keeping track of "The last VHS to come out" this now trumps Alien: Romulus.
