Digging the cinematography -- Perkins does like working with Mexican cinematographers, too.

The Neon marketing team is going to work again...

Notes from the MPA.

The Monkey Movie Clip - Sneak Peek (2024)

I know this is supposed to be a horror movie, but that scene on its own out of context came across as darkly comical.

I don't know if you watched the trailer or skipped it for spoilers, but the film definitely seems to be comical.

I'll be honest, I didn't even watch the clip until just now - liked what I saw. I know a lot of people didn't like Longlegs but that's because they weren't aware they were watching a supernatural horror movie the entire time disguised as a detective movie (I'll give you one of the many, many, things you probably missed....when Nick Cage is talking on the TV at the police station, he's actually talking to the people in the room through the TV "and you, and you"....the Devil smashes his face in and kills him because he was done with him - Longlegs was also living in the FBI agents home since she was a kid - that one should be obvious but a ton of people miss it).

This looks like Perkins having a blast.

They should have cast Robbie Williams.

The trailers did make it look potentially really gory.

After seeing the red band trailer in front of Presence and Companion, our teenager definitely wants to see this. I may have created a horror movie monster!

That's awesome. It's cool that she wants to spend time with you and you both enjoy going to movies, though it has to be a pain checking the Parental Advisory Guide every time...<Joking>
Eventually she may be "seasoned" enough where it won't matter....also Joking.

First "Companion", then "The Monkey", followed by "Novocaine"......Have fun!

I'm glad they took this tack with the movie (though I'll wait to catch it streaming). The short story, as I recall, ain't all that.
