A good performance, but the film is lacking a bit overall.

I thought there was beauty, sprinkled with a little pretentiousness, in the end, but getting there was at times a bit of a slog.

I used my digital credit at Amqzon since I have no idea who or when it will stream.
I saw Sony Picture Classics and assume it would be Netflix but it came out last Oct and still not there or maybe in the future?
I liked it and falls in my wheelhouse of broken and damaged people which are the movies I usually like.
Surprised this did not get more love during awards season and it and a 82% critics and audience score at Rotten Tomatoes.
Ronan and the movie did get BAFTA nominations and maybe more people saw it across the pond compared to the U.S.

Tough watch but Ronan was good, and the scenery was outstanding. I only learned of the film recently when I saw it in a Vudu sale and was intrigued enough to consider buying it. I’m glad I watched it on NF though because it’s not something I would want to watch again.
