Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story (Hulu) - docuseries - premieres 4/26/24
"Thank you, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story" is a four-part, all access docuseries chronicling the epic past and uncertain future of one of the most recognizable bands in the world and its front-man Jon Bon Jovi. A 40-year odyssey of rock and roll idolatry on the precipice as a vocal injury threatens to bring everything to a screeching halt. "Thank you, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story" joins the band in February 2022 and follows their real time journey with its fits and starts as they attempt to chart out their future. As thrilling as the story of a once-in-a-lifetime talent is, it is even more rare that a legend like Jon Bon Jovi lets the world into his most vulnerable moments, while he's still living them. 40 years of personal videos, unreleased early demos, original lyrics, and never before seen photos that chronicle the journey from Jersey Shore Clubs to the biggest stages on the planet. The series relives the triumphs and setbacks, greatest hits, biggest disappointments, and most public moments of friction

My fandom of Bon Jovi shrank in the last 20 years, since Bon Jovi's development was more towards the kind of Coldplay radio pop rock, which I despise, even when Richie Sambora was still in the band. In the 90s, with the release of Keep the Faith I became a huge fan and for the next ~15 years Bon Jovi was my favorite band. I was 11 when Keep the Faith was released so I had a lot of Bon Jovi's best material already released in the 80s, which I could discover for myself.
In 1994 I went to my first Bon Jovi concert featuring Van Halen as opening act, which was pretty cool.
I saw Bon Jovi in concert again in 2000, 2003 and 2006, but since Crush there have been only two or three songs per album I liked, so my interest in new material faded.
The docuseries is fine, but since the band wasn't scandalous or notorious, the entertainment value for people who aren't fans isn't probably there.

Haven't watched this yet but I plan to. I know most of their story but heard there was still some new and interesting nuggets peppered into this.
