I was like "cool" until the "everyone turned into kids" thing. I mean I know it's intentional but who asked for a spiritual successor to GT?

I guess it makes sense. How many more power levels could they make for the characters? Running out of different colors to make their hair when they power up!

Re: Dragonball Z Daima Fall 2024
I dunno if "we ran out of ideas, I know, let's make them kids" is the kind of compelling reason to continue a story, though. Particularly because the story has been continuing in the movies and the manga just fine. But if it's a return to more comedic DB and Toriyama is involved (unlike GT), I'll give it a shot.

Re: Dragon Ball Daima - Fall 2024
I tried watching this today but quit 15+ minutes into the first episode. That was such a boring setup, when a 2 - 3 minute recap would have sufficed. Might try again later, but am none too enthusiastic.

Re: Dragon Ball Daima - Fall 2024
I don't remember what the first episode had, was it the recap of the Buu saga? I think it needed that to set up the demon world and the relationship to Dabura/Majin Buu, plus establish that this somehow happens before Super.
I mean the concept is pretty absurd, considering how either overpowered Shenron is or how he can do nothing, but it gets back to the adventuring/cuteness of original DB instead of the ever escalating power fights so I'm fine with it for now. Gohan not even shown seems odd to me though considering how he was a featured part of Buu.
