Hersha Parady, schoolteacher Alice Garvey on Little House, has died (08/23/2023) at age 78.
Sorry for the lateness of this. She’d been suffering from meningioma, a type of brain tumor. After surgery on the tumor, she was taken to a rehab facility, where she developed pneumonia. She died a few weeks later.
She auditioned for the role of Caroline Ingalls but lost to Karen Grassle. In a 1976 episode, "Journey in the Spring", she played Eliza Anne Ingalls, Charles' sister-in-law. The following year she began playing Mrs. Garvey and continued the role until 1980.
She appeared in various roles in movie and TV. She was also in several stage plays, most notably as Stella in a touring company of A Streetcar Named Desire, opposite Jon Voight as Stanley.
A 1975 article in the Cleveland Plain Dealer includes comments from Miss Parady and notes her early career. Her Wikipedia bio is very brief. This Los Angeles Times article has comments from her friends and family.

I guess the only question now is whether she just gets dumped into the Oscar's "In Memoriam" video or does she get a standalone tribute like Robin Williams did?

I believe this was mentioned in the feelgood obituary thread the day after she died (approx. 6 weeks ago).
