Super happy to be able to watch this before the Mariners game even started! The bad news... 29 minutes (without credits) Now, I'm not going to rail on the runtime too much...but you do actually have to feel like you watched an episode if you're going this route, and this one really did feel like 30 minutes cut from a five hour movie.
The sequences are fine, but still feel a few beats too long. The sequence from space to the planet was pretty good, but it could've been more memorable imo. We also are going to have to stop referencing Star Trek(2009) at some point - between the racing scene in Ep 1 and the space suit here, it's a bit much.

Nice to see Kaz’s dad next to Chancelor Mothma in the Senate Council scene.
To be honest, I’m indifferent on this episode. For its short runtime, they did do a bit of forward motion in the story, but it was tempered.
Ahsoka (as a non-master) is too Yoda-y and cryptic in her training of Sabine. At least Obi Wan had a personality.
Sabine Yolo and Ahsoka Spacewalker taking out the red shirt squad was fun, but… seeing the Purgill made the show for me.
Now to wait until next week.

This episode was ok. The space walk was kinda goofy, but glad that was minimal.
The chase scenes were ok. I like the Andor one better (The Eye episode).
I liked the opening training scene.
Loved MEW’s line about waiting to see which side (Republic or Empire) came up on top, when debating the senator.
Why did I just realize that Star Wars only takes place in a single galaxy?
It’s only the most famous tagline in movie intro history…
So seeing a hyperspace ring that can jump between galaxies seems like a cool idea.

There's parts in each episode that feel like they go on for way too long, like Sabine's training in this episode.

I think going forward I'm just going to skip the odd number episodes (when they're available) and watch these SW series, two episodes at a time.

Does it bother anyone else that Ahsoka's dinner table is also her dirty floor?

Another excellent episode, loved the dog fight sequence along with the musical score, it was really reminiscent of the sequences in the OT and PT movies. I like that Huyang is involved a lot more than I expected, David Tennant is fantastic in this role. I also like they are going into new territory literally and figuratively with travel to the new galaxy and the aliens they'll encounter there. So far Ahsoka is better than Season 3 of Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett and Obi-Wan, but behind Andor and Seasons 1 and 2 of Mandalorian for me.

That was a very visually beautiful episode... but boring. The space scene drove me nuts -- how many direct shots can that ship take? This show is light years better than BOBF and Obi-Wan but that's a low-hanging fruit statement.
I can't wait for them to eventually jump to another galaxy, see Thrawn's fleet and have Thrawn (and Ezra) appear for all of 5 seconds before the scene cuts and the season ends. I expect S2 to be Thrawn beating the hell out of the New Republic and finally, the movie will be used to conclude with all the TV show heroes converging to defeat Thrawn. It's a tired formula.

Had hopes that this series would be good, but the bland acting and poor writing just makes it worse as it goes on. (enemy spacecraft with guns and lasers that do none/minimal damage even when the friendlies are vastly outnumbered and outgunned; coffee-klatch conversations that go and on; lightsabers which are able to knock out and destroy enemy spacecraft, but other lightsabers can barely injure a human when plunged into flesh, (maybe the enemies are using cheap knock-off brands of lightsabers.))
At least my subwoofer is getting a nice work-out during each episode and the episodes are short so I'm not bailing...yet.

Ashoka, in this series, might be the most boring character in all of Star Wars.

Mama Hera has green skin and tentacles, yet little Jacen ends up looking like Dean Stockwell in The Boy with Green Hair.

The pacing and editing of this show feels a lot like the prequel trilogy to me. The stoic (or boring, if you prefer) lead characters aren't helping. While I do find some aspects dumb and derivative, I can't really muster any hate for it. It has kind of a vibe going and has been easier for me to sit through (so far) than Mando S3.
Side note: I was visiting my folks yesterday and my dad was curious to check the show out. We got through the first episode, but he started losing interest a few minutes into the second one. After seeing how quickly Sabine recovered, he got up from his chair and said "This show's not very good, is it?" before shuffling into the kitchen to organize his prescriptions for the week.
