Reptile (2023) S: Del Toro, Timberlake, Silverstone

A mysterious murder. A hardened detective. A truth more dangerous than they could have ever imagined. Benicio Del Toro, Justin Timberlake and Alicia Silverstone star in REPTILE premiering October 6.

Following the brutal murder of a young real estate agent, a hardened detective attempts to uncover the truth in a case where nothing is as it seems. By doing so, he dismantles the illusions in his own life.

When I saw the film's title and Del Toro in the thread title, I immediately assumed it to be a movie by Guillermo Del Toro.

I mean, we're not really sure. They could be hiding something.

A Michael Pitt sighting. Haven't seen him in anything since Boardwalk Empire and Seven Psychopaths.

He was credited as Michael Carmen Pitt in the closing credits.

Maybe his way for a new start after all the problems he had in the past.

A Excess Baggage reunion with Toro and Silverstone.

Time flies and she was in her early 20's probably back then being kidnapped by Benicio and now she plays his wife.

It was not that bad though really long at 2 hrs and 16 minutes

Entire cast with the exception of Timberlake who can't act looks great.

This was umm different.

Not great not horrible. Still not sure what the title Reptile means in regards to the movie.

Took me half the movie to remember who Silverstone was.

Ending blew.

Skip it seems like most here did.

I thought it was fine—nothing groundbreaking for sure. Gave me a similar vibe as The Little Things. I don’t remember any reference to the title either, nor do I recall any discussion of the funky tattoo that Netflix is/was using as the main image.

It was the same for me. It's a fine Thriller to watch once, but that's about it.

I actually really enjoyed this. And will definitely watch it again at some point. Might even buy it. Everyone was great in it with the exception of Timberlake. I wish Hollywood would stop giving him acting jobs. He stinks. I got a kick out of watching Silverstone. She was quite good.
