Justified: City Primeval (S1E06) - "Adios" - 8/15/23

A botched kerfuffle sends Raylan's pursuit of Mansell into chaos. Written by Taylor Elmore and V.J. Boyd. Directed by Sylvain White.

My wife is done with it. So the title is apt.

I will finish and binge them. No hurry.

The best part of the episode was the end where they said there’s only 2 episodes left.

I'm not going to rewatch the episode. Are we supposed to infer that the lady defense lawyer tipped Mansell off about the trap to keep the book in play, but eliminate the lady prosecutor as competition for the judgeship?

And I did rewatch the one scene, and I have no idea what Raylan did or said to tip off the lady detective about him sleeping with the lawyer.

6 episodes in and Raylan has done basically nothing. Just awful.

It's no SUITS, but it is something on TV in the summer.

It is pretty bad. Justified was such a great show from start to finish.

I just hate wasting my time on shitty stuff when there is so much better out there. I mean I’m 6 eps in so not like I’m not going to see the remaining 2, but I don’t look forward to it. Whoppeee. A gun fight with Raylan and Clement. Big deal. Saving for the last ep for something big to happen is a slog with this. Fire in the Hole episode was an amazing all around episode. Raylan and Boyd. That was a brilliant opening. This show has none of the swagger or awesomeness of the original. Even Olyphant looks haggard. So skinny and gaunt.

Apparently the complaints of this tiny and dead message board aren't alone. This new season has gotten a terrible audience score on Rotten Tomatoes

https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/ju...y_primeval/s01

52%

The original show's final season had an 89% audience score

https://www.rottentomatoes.com/tv/justified/s06

For the record, I haven't had time to start this yet.

Don't. Just fondly remember the original show. This awful revival taints the character.
