I'm sure interest in this is minimal.... but this will be on Max starting tomorrow.
This is the first of the new deal A24 has with Max where releases are now getting a quicker first pay window date (quicker than the previous deal with Showtime).

I love musicals but I’ve seen/heard enough about this to pass. Not a big fan of gross-out humor - my son recently watched this at a college showing and I mentioned one scene I knew about and he said that wasn’t even close to the worst thing that happened.

Amusing, but don’t understand why they decided on that title.

Like Draven, I love musicals, but the trailer had me not interested, as, also like Draven, I’m not a fan of gross-out stuff. However, if it’s “free” on Max, I figured I might as well support it.
I’m not sure if I hated it. I can’t say it was bad, because it was effective in what it was trying to do. And I can’t say I disliked everything about it, because the songs were tuneful, and it had Nathan Lane and an unrecognizable-to-me Megan Mullaly, and it was less than 90 minutes. But I was sure glad when it was over. Mostly I’m glad that I didn’t spend money on it and have it in my digital collection.
The lead guys wrote it and wrote the song lyrics, with someone else providing the music. As far as the title change, I guess they didn’t want to go with the off-Broadway title “Fucking Identical Twins.”
