A few days ago I was Wal-Mart waiting for the bus to finish my bus ride home from my local Junior College. I take 3-4 buses home every day I have school like tomorrow!!I figured since it takes forever after I get off another bus on my home there I would window shop the DVD and videos!! I know fans of the store('s) will not like me for saying this but Wal-Mart and Targets DVD selection is pathetic!!It's nothing like in the Wal-Mart TV ads!!
One thing I 've noticed about both Wal-Mart and Target is that several titles of their video sections are on DVD!!yet they do not carry them!!Heck they did not even have "Titan A.E " on DVD!Just this title on video!!!I know I can some cheap DVD's there , but my selection is mediocre to begin with!!I can find more DVD's to buy at Circuit City,Best Buy,and Suncoast!!Even Online stores kicktheir butts in selection!! Are Wal-Mart and Target"family oriented" stores!!?? Anyone know anything about this with both these chain stores?
can members of this board go into another B&M store like Target and Wal-Mart and find titles on DVD, only available there on Video tape!!??Or am I the only one?If so is there a way to get these stores to get more DVD's in their stores and put the videotapes someplace else in their store?

Exactly!!! I do not even consider them when purchasing dvds.....every now and then they have a good price on a new release but most of the time their prices suck as does their selection!!! If you want selection go to Best Buy or order online...

I totally agree, their selection sucks. I only bought one DVD at Walmart which was the Negotiator. It was on sale for $14.99 which happens to be the lowest price on the web too, and with no shipping charges was the best deal at the time.
