I considered this when it played at TIFF, but the listing for it really made me feel like it could end up being really cool or one of those ‘actor really wants to direct’ wankfests, so I didn’t want to risk $30-ish to find out. After that it was completely off my radar until you updated this thread, and based on those fairly unanimous reviews, it turned out to be the latter, so money saved!
