i talked with a buy.com operator, and she could not tell me for sure what would happen if i cancelled part of a buy.com order which hasn't yet been shipped, and involved a coupon... if i cancel the item the cost of my purchase would fall below the amount required for the coupon to be valid.

does anyone know how this really works?


if i used a $20 off $100 purchase coupon and they shipped me $80 worth of it already, and i cancelled the last $20 item would i basically be eliminating a free $20 dvd?

Moving to On Line Store forum

I had the same thing happen to me recently and I was told that the coupon would still be honored.

I had to cancel 2 of 3 DVDs that I had ordered and so far have only been charged for the one DVD left minus the coupon. I got the DVD a couple of weeks ago so it looks like buy.com is good to their word here (for now at least).

So I guess it turned out to be a good deal as I got the one DVD for $10 off .
