So far:

Ordered movie in the middle of September.

Movie wasnt shipped by Nov 2nd (release date 10/24) even though it was in stock and I choose option to ship when available.

Called at least 6 times to get the order shipped. I have been told 6 times it will ship tomorrow. Tomorrow never comes!

Saga to be continued...

Mine shipped after i called one a few weeks back (I wanted to re-organize my orders to have it ship in an earlier batch - they did that).

I'd phone again, get an order specalist and ask for compensation for the long delay...

Amazon.com sucks! They have the worst shipping times out of all the online stores. I will not use them again without a coupon or GC, it isn't worth it!

AMAZON sucks. Believe it or not I received mine from CDNow 3 days after release date.

I think I know why my order wasnt shipped and one CSR said the same. One the same order I have 4 Star Wars DVD's ordered and the Indiana Jones Trilogy on DVD ordered. Since they arent yet published, this might have stalled the order. This still is not excuse for The Patriot not to be shipped.

Not only that, but Amazon tells you they will ship it out late when you order it. See there's this thing called expected delivery date, maybe you should check into it sometime.

I paid extra to have my order shipped when available, so yes Amazon is at fault. Each day the delivery date gets moved back a day.

But if you did, then it would be there fault.. Of the dozens of DVD orders i've had with them, they never once shipped partial packages (I never thought to pay extra for it). Only items i've had ship seperatly are Playstation games that shipped from different warehouses (they have to do it then)..

Still, if they should have shipped it weeks ago ask for compensation, they've sent me two seperate 10.00 GCs for complaining about two seperate orders that didnt ship a few days after release.. I assume since you have waited weeks that you also should also get some sort of compensation..

ps. my MI II hasnt shipped yet, I expect it with the other 3 movies i ordered (xmen, gladiator and the perfect storm) probably early december..

This whole situation is funny and frusterating. Each CSR says "I have no idea why it hasnt shipped" Each of them and the specialist PROMISE to get it shipped AND PROMISE to keep me updated. Neither happen. For some reason, my Patriot is listed as Not Released, even though they have 'one at hand' for me.

Best of luck with MI2, I hope it isnt a disaster like my order!

Update:

It appears that 6 calls to amazon is the magic number. My order was FINALLY shipped today.

I just fear what will happen to the Gladiator and how many times I will have to call to get that one shipped!
