I thought he was really good in End of Days, but the movie itself is middling.

He’s got 10 top-tier movies in my opinion. I don’t think I could break it down to top five. Happy Birthday Arnold.

I’m probably the only one who considers Commando a top Arnold movie. I know it’s not a great story and some of the acting is hammy. But there is some funny one liners in it and Arnold is pretty badass.

Agreed. Coincidentally I made a "Schwarzenegger Ranked" list the other day and probably anything in the top 5 could be number 1.

Can't believe it! I think the following really represents the best of his different kinds of films. Timing and a poor choice of projects really led to an unfortunate decline in his later films - imagine if Crusade, Legend and King Conan were made!

A new Ahnuld movie was always an event in my household growing up.

He’s got a handful of great “Arnie” movies.

1. Terminator 2 - Still a brilliant action movie and one of THE best action movies ever, 30 years later.

2. True Lies - It hasn’t held up quite as well over the years but it’s still a damn fun movie made when Arnie and James Cameron were at their peak.

3. Kindergarten Cop - This movie is so much better than it has any right to be. Just a sweet, entertaining movie. It also set the weird precedent that ALL big action stars have to star in at least one family friendly movie.

4. Predator - A no-frills, get-right-to-it, action movie. There’s pretty much no fat on this movie. It’s balls to the wall from the beginning.

5. Total Recall - This was the first “thinking” movie I ever saw. Considering the different interpretations of the ending was almost too much for my 10 year old brain.

So I should have lied and said a movie I've never seen is one of my favorites because other people like it?

What you should have done is watched Predator.

I'd like to give a shoutout to Pamela Reed. I thought her and Arnold had great chemistry and she held her own on some funny one liners herself.

Arnold's role in Terminator Dark Fate was actually pretty small. He doesn't appear in it until more than halfway through the movie from what I recall.

How do you go through life without saying "Get to da choppa!!"

One Arnold movie that I really wanted it to be good, but it was a massive disappointment was Collateral Damage. Big action movie from the director of The Fugitive. But, it was hampered by a bad script from 2 1st-time screen writers and I thought Arnold was miscast. He did not have the acting chops to pull off being a grief stricken father and husband out for revenge for the murder of his wife and child.

^Didn’t Collateral Damage also have the extreme bad luck of being postponed and then released immediately following 9/11? Not the best timing for a movie about a man who lost his family in a terrorist attack.

Yup it was suppose to come out in Fall 2001 and then got postponed to early 2002 because of 9/11. It was a bad movie, but also no one wanted to see a movie like this after 9/11 and it was a bomb at the box office.
