‘Enola Holmes’ Sequel A Go At Netflix With Millie Bobby Brown And Henry Cavill Set To Return

Good news. It was fun but obvious it had to do the heavy lifting of world building (even for a century old IP...).

Without sounding creepy, MBB is just fun to watch on screen. Even in G vs K, her part wasn't written well but she still has a fun charisma that shows up on screen.

The first one was fun, we'll give this a look.

I'll always assume a movie starring a teenage girl wasn't made with me as its target audience, but I thought they did a great job with the first one of making an adventure/mystery period film with wide appeal. (It was too long, though.)

Brown is one of those young actors that comes along and pops off the screen and screams "STAR!" at you with their presence. Just have to hope she doesn't go the Lindsay Lohan route.

I kind of did a turnaround on the first one--didn't think it was that good the first time I saw it, but gave it another watch and for some reason liked it a lot more that time. So I'm looking forward to this.

Like its predecessor, light and breezy and fun entertainment. This has a little bigger scope, still very endearing and such enjoyable characters. I hope there are more movies. Millie Bobby Brown is divine in the role. Charismatic, charming and damn cute. Just brings a light, enjoyable main character to an otherwise sometimes played stuffy detective protagonist. Thewlis was a nice surprise.

Dare I say I liked this a little more than the first. Loved the double ending to this one.

Just watched it. Lots of fun and, yeah, I'd say it's better than the first. Millie Bobby Brown is great as Enola and it's kind of a perfect role for her. The writing of her character--and her portrayal of it--hit the right tone of being precocious and courageous but also sometimes insecure and vulnerable. Sherlock plays a much larger part in this one and his sibling dynamic with Enola works really well. With some of the reveals in this, I wonder if Netflix is planning to spin off Cavill's Sherlock into his own movie.

Watched it today. Liked it better than the first (which I also enjoyed). I hope there's another.

I liked the movie but liked the first one better.

We watched both on consecutive nights. Wife adored the films, and it looks like there are six books in the series.

My 19yo daughter and I watched these over the weekend and we enjoyed it. We liked the second one better than the first.

The casting was great and we both didn’t recognize Sam Claflin as Mycroft.

We saw that a third one is being filmed now and should be out at the end of 2025. Cool.

Great news about a third. And I agree that the second is the best so far.
