Wonder Woman 3 - S: Gal Gadot
Diana Prince is officially heading back to the big screen for a third “Wonder Woman” movie. Warner Bros. has fast-tracked development on another installment in the DC Comics franchise, with Gal Gadot returning to star as the title heroine and Patty Jenkins back to write and direct the concluding entry in the superhero trilogy.
The announcement comes on the heels of the release of “Wonder Woman 1984,” the studio’s superhero sequel that debuted on the company’s streaming service and in select movie theaters on Christmas Day.
Warner Bros. said the third “Wonder Woman” movie will have a traditional theatrical release.

Wasn’t Cleopatra being fast tracked too? Plus Rogue Squadron. I wonder what her actual timetable is.

Rogue Squadron is suppose to come out in 2023. You figure she's going to need most if not all of 2022 to work on that. So where does she find time to write and make this? Does she start work on the script now and hopefully do into production next year? That way they can get a possible 2022 release.

Filming on Rogue Squadron probably won’t be until mid-2022. I think she said someone else is writing that.
I’m more curious as to where Cleopatra falls into all of this.
I doubt this will be out until 2024. They already have 3 DC films slated for 2022.

I wonder what this plot will center around, magic beans?

It's a shame that Alan Heinberg, who wrote the 1st movie, hasn't gotten more recognition for it's success. I looked at his IMDB and he's working on the Sandman Netflix series, so it's doubtful he would have any involvement with this one.

I assume the villain for #3 would have to be the sorceress Circe.

And I hope he doesn't become the scapegoat for the shit script of WW84.

Given Geoff Johns was also one of (albeit many) writers behind Green Lantern, probably best he stays away from writing feature films.

I think the wishing stone plot in '84 works against a Circe movie, as it would boil down to much the same thing. She really should have been the agent of the "wishes" in this one, rather than the stone/Max.
I'm taking this announcement with a grain of salt, and as a studio attempt to salvage whatever box office they can after the opening days withering criticism and disappointed WOM.
It's the same thing Disney did with Rian Johnson early in Last Jedi's release. When is the last time you heard about that proposed series of films?
I hope they do forge ahead with another installment though. Gal is fantastic in the role and despite my disappointment with this one, would absolutely be back in line for another go.
Maybe make it a team-up movie with Superman, as there was never a proper MoS2, and that character has been seriously underserved in the Synder-verse.
Also, it would give WW a peer to relate to, which would provide a potentially good substitute for the lack of a romantic partner.
JMO, but I don't think people would want to see her get hot n heavy with anyone else after so much has been made about her feeling for Trevor. It would have been like Rogers moving on from Peggy Carter.

After seeing Wonder Woman 1984 I really think Jenkins needs to take a step back from writing duties and just stick to directing the next film. Kind of hope that’s the case with her Star Wars film too.
According to IMDB the story was by her, and both her and Geoff Johns have writing credit on Wonder Woman 1984. I’m not a fan of Johns like a lot of people who are DC fans.
Jenkins really hasn’t done many feature films at all. Monster, which was well received way back when, and recently Wonder Woman, and now the sequel. Her other credits are a bunch of tv work. She’s not bad necessarily, but I’m not sure how much confidence I have in her work after Wonder Woman 1984.

This could be an opportunity for Jenkins to work with Charlize Theron again, she seems like she would be great for that role. That being said, if they take the same approach with the script I don't see them doing much with Circe other than a bunch of sight gags consisting of turning humans into animals and Wonder Woman into a pig, a flatulent pig to get more cheap laughs.

No offense to fans of WW from the comics, but IMO whoever they get for the story and screenplay of WW3 should have no connection to the comics, and I think it would be best if they had never touched one.
