The Cure - 40th Anniversary Live Box Set Coming

The Cure will commemorate last year’s 40th anniversary celebration with a new 6-disc box set this fall that will include full audio and video of the band’s recently screened “Anniversary” concert film as well as the yet-to-be-seen visual document of the group’s Meltdown festival set.
The box set, 40 Live: Curaetion-25 + Anniversary, will be released Oct. 18 by Eagle Rock Entertainment, according to a product listing on Amazon.com. It’s available for pre-order now in three formats: a 2 Blu-ray/4 CD set, a 2 DVD /4 CD set and, for those not interested in the audio discs, a 2 DVD set.
The Cure performed two major career retrospectives last year, both of which are included here.
On June 24, the band closed the Robert Smith-curated Meltdown festival in London — the event’s 25th installment — with a 28-song set called “Cureation-25: From There to Here, From Here to There,” during which The Cure played one song off each of its 13 studio albums in chronological order, then counted back down again. Plus, they played two unreleased songs (“It Can Never Be the Same,” “Step Into the Light”).
Then, on July 7, Smith and Co. performed a massive 29-song 40th anniversary concert to tens of thousands of fans in London’s Hyde Park, documented by Tim Pope in the film “Anniversary 1978-2018: Live in Hyde Park London,” which last month screened in cinemas worldwide.
Below, check out the setlists for the two concerts to be included on 40 Live.

That's nice but it's $80. I will wait for an inevitable sale on it.

I'd be more interested if it had a Blu-ray of an older (i.e. in their prime) show.

Really only interested in these on video. I'll probably get the DVD set. Though I'd love to have it on blu-ray, it ain't worth $80 to get four CDs I'll never listen to.
I'd rather they would have put the "The Cure in Orange" and "Show" out on DVD/Blu-ray for the big 4-0. And I'd also love to have the Austin City Limits Festival concert they played during a rainstorm in 2013 on blu-ray.

I have "In Orange" and "Show" MP4 files that I downloaded from youtube.
I'd really like to have them on disc, though.
What I'd really like to see is for The Cure to release comprehensive DVDs like Iron Maiden did, that contains complete concerts and promotional videos, along with interviews and archival stuff.

Ha, I have In Orange on laserdisc. I'll buy this Blu-Ray set but will have to order it as there's no place in town left that would be selling it.

I've often been tempted to buy Show on LD.

I really want this, but based on past experience I'm willing to wait a bit for the inevitable price drop.
