That didn't need to be a whole episode.

Kill yourself. Mr X is no joke. So David drove his mother insane.

Did he? It seemed like the Shadow King was hanging around for a while playing with her as well. I'm trying to go back and piece how this jives with the original story, where Charles defeated him and dispersed his body. It seems like he was haunting the house for a bit already waiting for his chance to get in David's body.

Also, it could be the circular time thing, where David intervening is what gave Farouk the opportunity to jump in while Charles was distracted with his wife.

What was up with the doll, too? That thing always creeped me out, and I thought it was Farouk who originally implanted that story/memory in his head, but looks like David's mother had the doll long before that.

I caught up with the first 3 episodes last night. It feels like a massive improvement over last season, but it may just be that I actually understand what I’m watching. Last season was a bit too dense for me.
Also, I looked up Lauren Tsai who plays the new time traveler character. She’s an illustrator in addition to acting, and has done a couple of variant covers for Marvel (West Coast Avengers #1 and Captain Marvel #1).

She was on a season of Terrace House too, it's like The Real World: Ultra Polite.
