Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?
I used to love the old Scooby-Doo movies as a kid. Now, they are going to bring an updated version back starting in July on Cartoon Network and the Boomerang streaming service and it's network channel later this year.

That actually looks pretty good to me. Love that it’s done in a more traditional looking animation style. I’ll check it out.

The gang has been a big part of my household for years, as both my sons were huge into Scooby-doo when they were younger. I'm pretty sure they'll still want to watch this when it's released.
They really enjoyed the Mystery Inc. series that aired about 10 years ago, but it only received two seasons. It had a modern animation style that many traditionalist hated, but the writing was pretty sharp.

Haven't enjoyed any of the recent versions. Mystery Incorporated was alright though I suppose. We by far love the oldies/classics like "Where Are You?"
This looked like it might've been good, until it started introducing a bunch of other characters like Wonder Woman and real life people like Wanda Sykes. Now I'm not sure.

Yeah I know that it's a gimmick that has long since been a staple in the series. I can't really explain why, but I just wasn't ever really fond of that aspect of it besides with Don Knotts and Dick Van Dyke. As far as favorite movies, my top 3 would be "On Zombie Island", "Witch's Ghost", and "Alien Invaders".

The New Scooby-Doo Movies wasn’t my favorite series either but I didn’t mind it. My favorites were probably the original Scooby-Doo, Where Are You! and A Pup Named Scooby-Doo.

Where Are You!? remains my favorite of the televised series.

A Pup Named Scooby-Doo was new when I was growing up so that’s part of why I like it. I think it’s one of the better cartoons where the characters were re-done as kid versions.

Surprised they are going to have the Scooby gang travel and solve crimes with and old 70's rock band

^ Haha. I thought the same thing when I saw the title.

My kids were not fans of the KISS Scooby-Doo movie. That band was way before their time, and still is pretty creepy today (I remember being freaked out by their makeup and costumes when I was a young child).

I actually have a chance to meet one of the animators who worked on The New Scooby-Doo Movies along with other Hanna-Barbera cartoons and The Beatles: Yellow Submarine. His name is Ron Campbell. He’s got an exhibit locally today and tomorrow. Might try and go for a bit and maybe get my Blu-ray of The New Scooby-Doo Movies signed or see if he’s selling any prints.

Just watched the first episode of this on the Boomerang app. Pretty decent for what it is. Had the look and feel of a classic Scooby-Doo cartoon to me. Not sure if I’ll keep a subscription to Boomerang or if I’ll just wait for the show to appear on Cartoon Network.
