Purchased something on goodwillsauction. Watched the auction end live, and didn't win. Went to bed, when i came back to the page in the morning I had won for a price I was happy with. Why would they cancel that other persons bid overnight and in less then 12 hours and not even notify me? Had I not have the page still open, I would have had no clue that I won.

How does their billing work? If it's automatic, maybe the bidder's credit card was declined.

Shill bidding is also a very real thing among non-eBay auction sites. Goodwill seems like a big enough place to not pull that. But it's possible.

It's also possible that the bidder was a deadbeat. Customer service might have received a "my 10 year old child bid on this" excuse, and backed off the guy's bids.

So T******3 was either a shill bidder, or a deadbeat bidder.
