I thought it was done!

I'm assuming you don't watch the show because season 4 didn't end with any kind of closure. They announced last year season 5 was the final season.

I thought the S4 closing episode was hedged enough to function as a series finale well enough.

I suppose, but it still left more possibilities especially with the humans working more closely with the zombies. It wasn't your traditional....hey thanks for watching and wrap everything up nice and tidy with a bow.

I kind of miss the days when this was a light procedural with witty banter.

I still like the show but I used to love the show. Glad it is finally ending as another season to get through would have been a bridge too far.

The musical dance montage was my All-Time Favorite scene from the series.

The series finale is tonight.

I'm gonna miss it.

Speaking for myself, while I respect the cast, I think story-wise they've pretty much beaten this one to death (no pun intended).

Meh. It's over.

The show was never really able to fully deal with the new reality it created at the end of season 3, with the revelation of zombies to the world at large, and then the wall around Seattle.

The procedural element became increasingly insignificant in importance compared to the other issues the show was dealing with, and thus Liv's "specialness" as a zombie. What does it matter if she can solve crimes by having visions if there are 1000s of zombies having visions, and if all zombies experience personality changes, then part of the joke about Liv's changes (everybody should just realize what is going on immediately) is out the door too.

What was a very fun little show with an appealing female lead became (what needed to be) a very high stakes dramatic situation. Making Liv Moore more important in the society by making her Renegade never paid off as intended.

Ultimately, iZombie bit off more than it could chew. If someone asked me about bingeing the show, I would say to stop with season 3. No closure, but no real let down either.

That sounds about right. One of those shows whose concept was stretched too thin by pushing past its original premise. I doubt it would have lasted beyond 1-2 seasons if not for casting Rose McIver as the lead.

She was terrific, and really deserved more recognition than she got.
