hey every one how ya doing. im new here and i have got to say this is a great dvd discussion group. Any ways i have a question, is the movie re-animator any good. I saw some screen shot of the movie and i saw that it has alot of gore and thats what i like in a movie especially when it comes to horror. i would love your opinion on this movie. i would like to buy it but i first would like your views on it or whether i should buy it or rent it. i would really appreciate it thanks every one

Those are good links that Copenhagen provided. If you decide to get it, I (along with many others in those threads) will recommend getting Elite's Re-Animator Millennium Edition.

Yes. In other words, if you like gore and tongue in cheek yet still high impact horror, Re-animator is a friggin' classic. The 2 disc set is a fans dream.

It was nice to see a thread from a simpler time where people actually got along with creekdipper. Ah, the innocence of youth.

Anyone still a big fan of the movie whether you're a Lovecraft fan or just started getting into Stuard Gordon movies?

This morning in the mail i got the 2 disc Anchor Bay DVD of Re-Animator and been wanting the movie. Only saw it once decades ago renting the old VHS from a small video rental store.

Also is Bride of Re-Animator any good?

I remember liking it a lot but it's been a while. I enjoy horror movies that unabashedly having comedy as a big part of what they're doing, too.

Yea, this is one of those movie that I am a sucker for buying multiple DVD and Blu rays of. I even owned the VHS of it.

Re-Animator is one of the greatest horror films ever made.

Bride isn't quite as good but the FX work by Screaming Mad George is excellent and I've always had the hots for Kathleen Kinmont.

Beyond is best never mentioned.

While I'm generally not a big a fan of gore, I freakin' love Re-Animator. Great mixture of horror and comedy.

I also recommend checking out Gordon's From Beyond (also adapted from Lovecraft) as well.

First time i ever heard of Re Animator was way back in the mid 1990s when Sy Fy Channel known as Sci Fi Channel would air Bride of ReAnimator alot but Sci Fi Channel was one of those extra channels that you had to subscribe to so I missed out on alot of stuff including the Tremors tv show

Im still happy that I finally have Re-Animator especially that I have the 2 disc Anchor Bay DVD set, Thatll keep me busy for the rest of October.

How is Bride of Re-Animator anyway?

I heard news and rumors about that House of Re Animator which West is supposed to resurrect a President of the USA?
