Massive Appetite for Destruction box coming 6/29

A 73-track box set, which includes 49 previously unreleased tracks across 4 CDs, 7 12-inch 180-gram LP's & a blu-ray that contains the album mixed in 5.1 surround will be released on 6/29.

http://ultimateclassicrock.com/guns-...locked-loaded/

There is a TON of stuff included in this box set. I'm gonna guess it'll cost at least $350.

Hopefully there is an affordable version that leaves out all of the other shit and just has the music discs.

I'm not too impressed by this track list. So disc 2 is basically just Lies with a couple of live tracks thrown in & the rest of the set is Sound City Sessions, which has been available on bootlegs for years (in very low quality though).

I'm most excited to have Appetite in 5.1. GNR is my favorite band & I'm a huge fan of 5.1 audio. If I read this right, the Blu Ray will contain Appetite & a few tracks from Lies along with Shadow (as bonus tracks) in 5.1?

Of course One in a Million has been omitted completely.

Yeah, I'm not sure I'm too interested in this. The mix on AFD is already stellar so I don't know if there's really any reason to upgrade.

Holy shit, I'm in! Love this album so I want all the bells and whistles.

I'm excited about these, if the sound quality is good, then I can finally retire my crappy sounding bootlegs (like my "No Refrain" bootleg CD that I bought nearly 30 years ago! )

Sucks that "One in a Million" is left out. I realize that some of the lyrics are extremely problematic these days, too bad because other than that it is a fantastic song

I'd have liked to see a live concert video with soundboard audio. The big sell for me would be the upgrade on the Sound City Sessions.

Landmark album, but while I'm curious about the Sound City sessions I ain't coughing up what they're asking for them. My vinyl still sounds fantastic. I'm good.

$999??? I'm out.
Guess I'll stick with my original CD and vinyl (both of which sound great) and my boots of the Sound City sessions.

That price is absolutely insane. If the album is offered in a more basic package remastered with some extra tracks or whatever I’ll consider getting just that.

That price is almost as bad as the ticket prices for the first reunion tour.

Meanwhile, Metallica offers deluxe box sets of their albums (really well done too) for around $150 a pop.

Didn't see the links for the one and two disc CD versions before. Might grab the two disc set.

It does come in a wood box, 7 records, a book, temporary tattoos, and has a bunch of extra shit like rings, but $1000 is still fucking insane.

I wonder if anyone who buys this beast will a tually use the temporary tattoos. I can see someone's kids getting the box, using the tats, and getting their asses beat.

"One In A Million" is missing. I guess when Axl said he would not ever rerelease the song he meant it.

Isn't there a more affordable version of the set for $179? Not sure what it's missing.

According to the link above, it has all the same songs, the Blu-ray and extras, just no vinyl or wood box. Ok, for $179 I'll likely go for that then. I already have AFD on vinyl, don't need all the extra songs on vinyl, especially if it costs a grand.

I don't think anybody cared when Slash rejoined the band except for the die-hards so this box set is a waste of time and money.

$999 and no KY Jelly included in the set? Or a jar of Vaseline to sweeten the blow?
