Can we have a food sub-forum?

Seems like the food topics we have are pretty active, and it'd be nice to have separate threads for different chains or whatnot.

Re: Can we have a food sub-forum?

Food = Good.

Forum = Good.

Food Forum = Good.

Food + Forum = Foodum = Not Good.

Food Talk = Good.

Pizza - thick or thin? (25,460 replies, 440,721 views) Will lead to several getting banned.

Re: Can we have a food sub-forum?

Remove the Group Forum to make room for a food and drink sub-forum. That could work.

We're not thinking big enough. Is the FoodTalk domain available?

Maybe "Food & Drink Talk" is the way to go.

Re: Can we have a food sub-forum?

Everyone is complaining that activity is so down at this forum and now we want to split the activity even further? I love food as much as the next nerd. It's my favorite thing to eat, but do we really NEED this?

I was just thinking the opposite: that it could revitalize the forum. It should always have it's home theater/media roots, but expansions like this could bring in fresh faces.

What's the downside? Try it and maybe it it generates a few more posts/traffic.

If not, then kill it.

The forum needs some change.

If you create, then delete a forum later the posts go into something like suspended animation. It's a bitch to fix them later.

Because deleting Book Talk or Political film will cause issues.

You can't move them?

Or just let it die on it's own, like Book Talk.

Not talking about deleting Book Talk. But it appears this isn't worth fighting since it's not going to ever happen.

Can you rename a subforum, leaving all the threads and posts intact?
