I know this topic has been posted repeatedly, but didn't see it lately. People can just pass on it, mods can delete it, or someone can merge it with an existing thread, but I just saw this link on Yahoo.

I thought it would just be a rehash...and some of them are familiar & make the "worst cover" rounds...but there were many jaw-dropping ones I hadn't seen that were just beyond all pretense to good taste. It starts out mildly offensive but regresses to....hard to describe.

Some grotesquely bad-taste stuff in there. Where's the one with the guy sitting at a restaurant table with his daughter/date? John Bulty? Something like that.

I would add Gary Wright's Dreamweaver. I like some of the music on the album, especially the classic title song, but the cover is the ultimate in '70 kitsch. What was he thinking with this?

Tin Machine II is a good one (go find it yourself). It even won Spin magazine's "Truth in Advertising" award. Four dicks on the outside, four dicks on the inside.

Given the virtuosity of the musicians, you'd expect something more than a Microsoft WordArt banner over their (poorly anti-aliased) photo.

As for some of the others, I always get a little excited when I'm digging through albums at a thrift store and start finding some Millie Jackson. But it's never the coveted "Back to the Shit" LP.
