- some girl who was 5 foot nothing moshing with dudes twice her size gets knocked COMPLETELY out cold, eventually gets up, flashes her tits starts moshing again.

-old guy in his 60's moshing.

- 2 people fucking in the alley behind the building.

-my friend who was standing way back from the mosh pit gets picked up and tackled to the stage, while his drink goes directly into his face and falls smashing on the floor.

-drunk guy walks to the corner of the club and in plain view takes a piss on the floor. Gets kicked out. An hour later I find him in the alley unconscious. I call 911 and an ambulance comes and takes him to the hospital and he's diagnosed with a 1st degree concussion. How he got it is fucking anyone's guess.(this is also the same guy who tackled my friend).

So basically a pretty average punk show.

How do you know what the guy was diagnosed with?

because he is the cousin of a friend of mine who is in one of the bands.

Where they real punk bands or the wannabe MTV ones? It sounds like an average show.

The best part of the story is how he doesn't mention the name of the band. As if it's fully irrelevant.

It basically is fully irrelevant as they are all local bands, that even if you live in the Vancouver area you probably haven't heard of.

In 2015 I'm not exactly sure what real punk looks like, but I'd say three of the bands were something like skate punk I'd liken them to Strung Out, one was old school hardcore and one was kind of a pop punk/comedy punk hybrid like The Vandals.

They were all pretty good except for the hardcore band, which I didn't like. Hardcore punk these days is pretty close to being Spinal Tap-ish.

I don't think I can handle punk shows anymore at my age.

Case in point...I went to a Barry Manilow concert a couple of weeks ago and there were 2 middle aged ladies in front of me yelling out his name really loud. I had to tell them to be quiet as their yelling was hurting my ears.

I'm 52, I go to punk shows all the time, and am disappointed when there's no mosh pit.

That was very average!

Damn I miss CBGB's.

It never fails---at any show there are always some a-holes who take it too far.
