Holy shit! As a huge fan of Coop, and nearly everyone else playing here, this album has got one helluva lineup. And opening narration from Lee!

Supergroup or Alice, Johnny, and friends.

I'll check it out. Like much of what Alice has done in the past.

I'm in. Shocked Depp is in it without Manson though.

Curious how this'll turn out. Joe Walsh, Robby Krieger, Slash, Joe Perry and looks like Dave Grohl stopped by for an afternoon.

I wish they would do another album. The rumor is that Josh Homme did not enjoy the project very much and is the reason they haven't done another album.

Damn I wonder why that is. Couldn't they just replace him?

There's a specfic reason they went with that particular name. The original "Hollywood Vampires" was the name given to a bunch of drinking buddies, comprised of Alice Cooper, John Lennon, Keith Moon, Harry Nillson, Micky Dolenz and Ringo Starr. (Others have been members, too). There was a little loft at the Rainbow Bar and Grill in LA, where they would always gather. The group was there so much, they even erected a plaque where it says 'The Lair of the Hollywood Vampires.'

When Cooper came up with the idea for this project, which has been in the years for works btw, it was as a tribute to most of his dead friends from the original gang, as well as others who had passed, or had inspired him. It later morphed into a combination of that and what we have now.

With a capacity of 500, I suspect maybe 20 per show will be available to the public.

Yeah, I considered going but wasn't motivated enough to spend $50 a pop. Maybe they'll release a Blu-ray later on.

Considering single tickets are moving quickly on Stub Hub for $500, you would've been wise to buy one and flip it. Hell, I'm even thinking about it for that kind of money.

Kip Winger was part of Alice Cooper's band for his mid-80s comeback, so he and AC have a long history. I also really liked the Constrictor and Raise Your Fist and Yell albums. (Though I might be the only one.)

I was not so lucky. If you do flip it, let me know. I really want to go. Hell, if you go and would sell one, let me know as well.

Re: Hollywood Vampires (Alice Cooper-led supergroup)

If I hadn't already promised it to a friend, and if that friend hadn't prematurely listed it on StubHub AND sold it before even getting the go-ahead from me, you might've been in luck :/
