I know that these guys are about as slow as Dr. Dre when it comes to releasing new material. However, this new song is damn good in my opinion. I sure hope we get a full album by the end of this year.

I had no idea they were even together anymore. I was never really a fan but some of my friends were into them so I know some of their songs.

My favorite song of theirs was Fire, Water, Burn. Can't believe that's almost 20 years old. I did like that album with them dressed up in animal costumes in France. Bad Touch? I stopped caring after that.

It's really hard to care too much when they have only released one other album since then.

They had some catchy songs. I liked the Ballad of Chasey Lain, along with all their other popular radio hits and a few other off their albums.

I used to like these guys, but with their lack of albums, I forgot all about them.

The video for that one is what made it all the more entertaining.

^ I remember Grandpa Soprano was in the Fire Water Burn video as one of the old folks in the retirement home. He farted a lot in that.

New song is alright. They've had a few singles over the past year or so, but nothing has led to a full-length release yet. Supposedly, they were planning to release 5 -6 songs before the whole cd. If that is the case, they're halfway there at this point.

I actually liked quite a few songs off their last new album (ten years ago). "Foxtrot Uniform Charlie Kilo" was great. They've been trickling out new material very slowly since. This is actually the third song they've put out in the last year.

I also really liked the one new track on their 2010 hits collection. Has an old school Weezer feel to it.

Re: The Bloodhound Gang (Discussion Thread)

Wow. Never thought I'd see a BHG thread on this forum. Just. Wow.

My 2 cents: I've been a HUGE fan of them since about '99 and "Hooray For Boobies" is still one of the most compulsively listenable albums I've ever heard. Certainly one of the most fun to listen to.

Then something happened. Evil Jared is a rockstar living in Germany and I don't know if Q-ball is even in the band anymore. Jimmy Pop is making this (I think) all alone with his computer and a drum machine. The quality just isn't there anymore. Hasn't been for over a decade. I'll check out the new album but from what I've heard, it's in the same vein as the disco anthems from previous records. "Altogether Ooky" was the last good tune but the lyrics were even more infantile and creatively void as their prior output.
