HD TV's & Black Friday

BB has a 50" Panasonic 1080i LED (5 per store) for $199 on Thursday

Fred Meyer has a 50" ??? 1080i LED (10 per store) for $250 on Friday AM

I am way to sick to stand outdoors for 12 hours. Does anyone know of a similar deal that one might actually get with a fairly short wait in an outdoor line?

1080p. And check Amazon. They sometimes offer lightning deals on thanksgiving day and friday where they match or offer similar products for similar prices.

Re: HD TV's & Black Friday

Samsung.com is doing a preorder Black Friday sale. The H6350 series, which is last years model but has good reviews and is very similar to this years model besides a faster processor, is like $250 below the best current price. I ordered the 65" for $1199 plus free shipping, on amazon it's $1437 and at costco they have the non smart h6300 for $1639.

Of course they will probably have sales too but I doubt anyone will beat that price.

Honestly, if you've waited this long I would hold out until mid-January. Black Friday is mildly overrated by this point for electronics deal. By January, manufacturers feel pressure to move inventory at deeper discounts. The biggest sales week all year for HDTVs is now Super Bowl week.

People have already been standing in line for the TV at Best Buy since last week. And I'm serious. No one in the U.S. will get the TV unless you're already camping out right now.

There are already 5 people camping at the Best Buy near where I live.

Thanks. I wasn't planning on it, but I'm definitely out now.

Indeed.

Aren't many of the BF TVs just a little gimped down, too?

Re: HD TV's & Black Friday

I was looking to replace my 5 year old 42" LG 60hz LCD and was looking for a ~50" LED with at least 120hz. I was thinking about the Vizio 50" for $500 as Best Buy. Anyone think that's a good deal, or can I do better?

Do they still make 1080i televisions, or are these old stock that's been gathering dust in a warehouse for five years that someone found?

Re: HD TV's & Black Friday

If you don't mind waiting for it to be delivered, just jump online Thursday and buy the television. I did this last year on BestBuy.com for my Vizio 50" 3D tv for $599. Even better they missed the original delivery date and gave me $100 back. Sure beat standing in line for days.

Re: HD TV's & Black Friday

I just picked up the TCL 40FS4610R 40-Inch 1080p Smart LED TV for $298 at Sam's Club. Inside the box was a $30 credit for Vudu (expires 11/30/14). And it's got Roku built-in, so you don't need to buy a streaming device. This is a great TV for the bedroom.

It's the same price at Amazon and Costco.

Re: HD TV's & Black Friday

I want that LG 60" Plasma Smart TV model from Microcenter for $599, but I need to find someone with a vehicle large enough to fit the 60"x37"x13" box in it, or a truck. #FML

Re: HD TV's & Black Friday

I read that the bestbuy 50" tv is the worst tv CNET has ever reviewed lol

The 4k set 55" at bestbuy for $899 looks pretty good.
