Simone, a cynical, young Parisian on her way to Singapore to get married, is forced to spend the night in Los Angeles when her connecting flight is canceled. After contacting Juliette, an old friend with marital issues, the two head out for a night of fun with some of Juliette's friends. When Juliette leaves the club with a stranger, Simone finds herself alone, downtown with no ride. The arrival of a handsome and mysterious motorcyclist changes everything. With his help, Simone navigates her way through the Los Angeles night-life of after-parties, beautiful people and endless lights. Over the course of her adventure, Simone begins to question whether or not the life she is leading is the one she actually wants. Will she make her connection?

Interesting. Looks like I'd get bored but its budget gets my interest in seeing the result.

A couple of weeks ago I saw an indie psychological horror film that was made for 6K called Entrance and it was really good. Sometimes a little goes a long way.

I saw a really good "movie" last week with a really hot chick that was made for like $600. However, she ended up blowing her head off, so there's that.

Is the filmmaker French? If I was trying to do a super cheap film I might go with a foreign language because it hides any bad acting. A pretty face and good subtitles go a long way.

I like that grainy, raw look that the Super 16 has though. I just don't think you could've gotten that on digital, IMO. But yeah, it's totally changed the game, in production and distribution, and it's pretty hard to argue that it wasn't mostly for the better.

a friend of mine made a film for about 5 thousand bucks. and it screened at a couple festivals and got a pretty big producer behind him for his next feature. it can be done.
