Caveat: I don't know if these are Mods or pressed. I'm not going to order, as i already have most of the in stock titles that interest me.

One of the treasures of my DVD collection is the Dick Tracy collection ......... terrific commentary on two of the four films, by Max Allan Collins who wrote the comic strip for many years.

FYI, I placed a small order with them earlier this week. It arrived today, including the Dick Tracy collection (thanks for the recommendation) and two pre-code films. Everything was replicated, including the one title without a security sticker.
While I wish their customer service would come right out and say "we don't sell DVD-R's ourselves", I had a brief exchange with them over a year ago and the rep hinted strongly that their few DVD-R titles are made by their distributor, not through their office. Only one title (to my knowledge) currently sold on DVD-R is available for sale through Troma's site (Chamber of Horrors), but I strongly suspect theirs is DVD.
Out of curiosity, does anybody know the name and catalog number of the last Roan disk? The newest title I have is "The Silver Horde" from 2005, AED-2119.

Shameless plug: My business still has 12 factory pressed sealed Roan titles & 1 factory pressed used Roan available.

If you look at the listing carefully, a lot of items are actually sold out. My guess is the price reduction is permanent...until they either burn off the last of their inventory or sell it in bulk to somebody else.

My guess is you are correct. About 6 months ago, a ton of burned Roans started turning up, there were only id'd by a sticker so small that most retailers didn't even know they were selling burned discs.

I believe I found Roan's distributor, with a partial list of their DVD-R titles: http://www.cavd.com/roan-group.php .
Add to that Pre-Code Hollywood #1, D.O.A., and Chamber of Horrors.

If you can't find the Mr Wong box factory pressed at a good price, a mod for $20 or less is still an ok investment. The picture quality is the best I've encountered on those films. Think Charlie Chan & Mr Moto, but imo at least the equal of Moto & better than Chan.

The VCI release of the WONG pictures says it includes a Karloff trailer gallery as an extra. I would love to see the WONG trailers as Monogram trailers are very rare, but not sure it includes those in the gallery or not as I have the Roan version Does anyone have the VCI set?

Not yet for me, but per an Amazon review I read recently (Moo seems to read my mind), it includes the Frankenstein, Mummy, Bride of Frankenstein and House of Frankenstein trailers. So nothing to get excited about.

I didn't know MGM had Mod'd them, but I won't pay those prices either.
