I was in Sam's Club earlier in the day and saw these 2 complete series available. Had never seen a Bewitched CS set out before, and the IDOJ was different than the "genie bottle" look that I knew had been released previously. Checked just now and it looks like these prices beat anything else you'll find online and according to Amazon, they're just being released (10/15).

Great price considering the content, however I should point out that the packaging might be a concern. I don't know the specifics but wonder if the discs might be stacked. These sets weren't very big for the number of discs they contain (Bewitched for example had 30+ discs).

I think the disks are stacked. It's the same type of packaging they used for the Sanford bargain complete series, but at less than $30 for Bewitched, it can't be beat.

Picked up Bewitched at Costco for 27.99 today. Yes, they are stacked.

Any extras exclusive to the complete set? I believe Erin Murphy did some extra that was included in the complete series set that was released in Japan several years ago.

I have all the Dick York seasons (Seasons 1 and 2 in black and white) which are the only ones I am interested in. Unfortunately I believe the black and white versions of the colorized seasons are just the colorized episodes with the color turned off. They have the colorized copy write in the opening credits.

For what it's worth, the only person to post a review on the Amazon page for the set to this point has indicated there's no bonus features/material. Perhaps ernestp can verify this when he has a chance.

That's interesting. I have the colorized versions because they were a few $$ cheaper than the B/W when I made the purchase and I felt I could always just turn off the color to get B/W (which I do). I later read that produces a different B/W scale/image than the original B/W prints but if those B/W sets are simply the colorized ones with the chroma disabled it doesn't make a difference.

There is NO special features listed on the packaging or on the episode list. However, it does have "some of the information in the above listing may not apply to special features" Disc one, season one does have the Magic Unveiled, part one. Probably, just what released before and nothing new.

Definitely not worth it IMO with "Colorized" S1 & S2. That is BUTCHERING to me. No $ale here!

There is some question if the B&W DVDs are taken from the original B&W or are they the colorized versions with the color turned off. The opening credits on the b&w version have the colorized copyright information.

Just a little confused on this statement BUT according to the reviewer on Amazon the 1rst 2 seasons in this set are definitely colorized! NOT FOR ME!

What I meant is that the B&W DVDs were not produced from the original B&W films but are the colorized masters with the color turned off. Therefore contrast on the B&W DVDs is not as sharp as it would have been if the DVDs were made from the original B&W negatives. Also turning off the color on your TV playing the colorized DVDs would result in the same picture as the B&W DVDs.

The 1st and 2nd season of Bewitched will be released by Mill Creek on 1/21/2014, "Proudly Presented in Classic Black & White". Amazons pre-order price is 9.98 for each set but if that is the MSRP one would expect it to end up in the 5.00 walmart bin.

Mill Creek's season 1 and season 2 will contain 3 discs each, compared to the original Sony version season 1 which was 4 discs and season 2 was on 5 discs.

I haven't read any early reviews, but the "word on the street" is that these episodes will be heavily compressed because Mill Creek is cramming 13 episodes per disc so the picture quality may suffer.

Almost all of Mill Creek's sets have compression issues, they cram as many episodes as they can on the discs. The original releases are almost always a superior option for video quality.
