How many hours of old unwatched shows do you still have on your DVR?
The 2013-14 TV season has officially began.
Hundreds of hours of new shows and returning shows will be premiering over the next month or two.
Is anyone here still way behind and has more stuff from this past summer, last season or worse yet, 2 seasons ago, still sitting unwatched on your DVR?
Do you just not have the time to watch them or are you in denial about cutting ties with something that you lack motivation to watch?
As for me, I'm pretty caught up heading into the Fall. I have a few that I'm catching up via Hulu or Netflix.
DVR-wise, the only things I have are a few shows from the summer. Probably 20-25 hours worth.

I stay fairly well caught up with the shows that really interest me. But I always have a couple of series going that are more "rainy day" watching. On the rare occasion I get the house to myself for a weekend during non-football season I always have a couple of dozen hours of stuff ready to go for emergency couch-potatoing.

While my DVR is full of films, I don't fall too far behind with television shows. I still have the premiere of The Amazing Race from Sunday, but I'll make sure I get to it this week.

My DVR is clear, aside from shows from this Sunday through now. I'm stuck with a 160gb hard drive from TWC's crappy selection, so I can't hope to fall behind much. I am close to a year behind and hopelessly back logged on my PC.

I'm not usually more than 3-4 days behind on my TV shows.
On the other hand, I've got movies that have been waiting for as long as 3 months.

I've got way too much stuff I'm backed up on. My PC DVR has around 3.5 TB of recorded TV, plus I have two other hard drives of 5 TB total that I use to offload some shows when the PC gets too full up. Don't even get me started one the tons of unwatched blu-rays that I have.

I don't keep much television on the DVR very long. I have a couple of past seasons I've yet to get to that I have marginal interest. Movies are a different matter, as I typically carry 500-600 hours of movies on the backburner.

Oldest thing is the most recent season of Shameless. After that is 7 episodes of Futurama, all of Luther Season 3 and the last 4 episodes of Under the Dome. Other than that, everything else is within the last week.

Not a fan of having stuff hang around for too long so I'm completely caught up.
Once there was a shared DVR where stuff would sit there for months and they had TONS of time. Watch it already!

I've probably got over 100 hours from last season. I lost a bunch of shows when my previous DVR died. Also had to delete some shows that I wanted to watch but couldn't because I was in school and had tons of homework each night after work. I had to delete, or lost, Grimm, Once Upon a Time, etc.
I need to sit down and watch these things, especially since the new season and shows started and will fill up the DVR.

We still have the season finale of Glee last year. We made the decision to drop Glee.
Pretty much the only one we have building now is Blacklist and Revolution.

6-10
I have half a season of The Americans and 3 or 4 episodes of Low Winter Sun to finish. I think that's about it now that I've given up on Hell On Wheels and deleted all the season 3 episodes.

Just the last 2 episodes of The Bridge (and last night's SoA). I'm waiting for the season finale and I'll watch them in a row this weekend.

So many. Just got through Grimm last night. We've got all of Hawaii 5-0 to watch from last season, a few other stragglers, and not to mention 10-12 shows from this season already.
But that's what we do during rerun season.

I'm current up to this season, but I do have the 2 newest episodes of New Girl to watch. The oldest thing on my DVR is probably an ep of Sunday Morning from July/early August.

I still have the entire season from Justified, plus most of Hannibal and a few episodes of The Following from last season. Plus Broadchurch and a bunch of random episodes from this season already.
I am never "caught up" which sucks, because I never get to even start stuff on Netflix for example - still want to watch House of Cards, Orange is the New Black, etc. Plus I have tons of TV DVDs I have never watched.

Before the season started I was completely caught up. But I cheated a bit and bought a new Tivo. Even so, I cleared the old one out before switching over. Now I have about 50 episodes sitting on the new Tivo. All from this season.

Unfortunately, I'm close to 30 hours in the hole (one of the reasons I'm scaling back on network shows this season -- the other being that the quality just doesn't look that good).
I'm behind on full seasons of a few shows actually (Longmire S2, Hell on Wheels S3, Rectify and Boss S2 from a couple years ago).

I have just over 100 hours including all of "Hannibal" and most of "Crossing Lines" and a ton of PBS documentary shows. I have a 1 TB drive, so I tend to be a digital hoarder and record everything I can. If it turns out to be something I don't like, I'll just abort and delete. if I needed space, I could easily blow a lot of stuff away without remorse. There are a few shows I'm saving to burn to DVD, but mostly I delete something as soon as I finish watching it. With a hard drive, you kind of want to use the whole thing anyway, otherwise you just keep using the same sectors over and over. Once it gets full, I'll probably start at the oldest recordings and just purge away.

I've been DVR'ing everything and trying to get through it. Still have last 2 eps of Castle from last season to watch again then delete. Watched 2 eps. of Mom and deleted last night. Haven't watched several new shows yet incl SHIELD. I have to hurry cause I'm 47% full already.

Re: How many hours of old unwatched shows do you still have on your DVR?
I remember thinking how great it was a few years ago when I ended up with 4 dual tuner DVR's with the ability to store around 500 hours of HD between them all. Fast forward to current day and I actually had to cut entire seasons of shows out of my viewing cycle because I was so far behind I would have never caught up. I have deleted over 150 hours of shows and I still have roughly 50 to work my way through from last season and I'm already falling behind on new shows. It's a never ending battle of trying to keep up with the Tivos in my house and I'm losing more than winning.
